How to care for diamond jewellery
Five minutes, warm water and a soft brush keep diamonds bright for life.

Diamonds don't fade, but they do attract skin oil, lotion and dust, which dulls their sparkle. The fix is simple.
Cleaning at home
- Soak the piece for a few minutes in warm water with a drop of mild soap.
- Brush gently behind the stones with a soft toothbrush. That's where the film builds up.
- Rinse in clean water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Storing
Keep each pair in its own pouch or compartment. Diamond can scratch gold, other stones and other diamonds.
When to take them off
- Before swimming in chlorinated water
- At the gym
- When cleaning with chemicals
- While putting on lotion, hairspray or perfume
White gold
White gold is usually finished with a bright rhodium layer. After years of daily wear it can soften towards the warmer gold underneath, and a jeweller can renew it.
