A guide to diamond cuts

Round, pear, marquise, emerald and more: how each shape catches the light.

The cut of a diamond is its shape seen from above, and it decides how the stone plays with light. Here are the cuts you will find in our earrings.

Round

The most brilliant cut. Its facets are arranged to send the most light back to your eye, which is why it sparkles the most.

Oval

A stretched round. It keeps most of the round's sparkle and looks larger for its weight.

Pear

A teardrop: rounded at one end, pointed at the other. It reads as soft and elegant, especially in a drop.

Marquise

A long shape pointed at both ends. It looks large for its carat weight and adds movement to a line of stones.

Emerald

A rectangle with cut corners and long, step-like facets. Instead of sparkle it gives flashes of light, like looking into clear water.

Princess

A square with sharp corners and lots of sparkle. It has a crisp, modern look.

Heart

A pear with a cleft at the top. It's playful, and it needs careful cutting to look balanced.

Baguette

A slim rectangle with step facets. It's often set in rows for a clean, architectural line.

You can filter every earring by cut in the collection.
